It is easy to feel discouraged or defeated when looking at the problems we face. Thanks to funding from the Emergence Foundation, this free video-based online course takes as a starting point the recognition that feeling disturbed is a natural reaction when we take in the reality of disturbing situations.
The course is released in seven weekly instalments, plus a practice participants are invited to try out, either as a personal reflection, a conversation in pairs or as a small group exercise. The videos look at what helps us become energised by our emotions rather than overwhelmed by them, drawing on The Work That Reconnects, systems thinking, story structure, regenerative design and the psychology of change in exploring what helps us find our power to make a difference.
The course is presented by Chris Johnstone, co-author of Active Hope, together with Joanna Macy and an international panel of contributors.
